Jimmy The Wigwam

After years of recording the good, the bad, and the nasty in his 99% analog studio in Alabama, James Butler -- a.k.a. Jimmy The Wigwam -- decided it was time to get his own material out into the world. The mega-talented musician shines through on his debut album, taking turns on guitar, drums, bass, trumpet, vocals... and everything else that can be heard on this Records To Russia label release. Indeed, one has to wonder if Butler has just been too busy with other projects to have held out on the rest of us for so long. It's an impressive beginning: a return to his hard rock roots, no bull, recorded to tape. We can only hope he doesn't wait so long for the follow-up.
