Those of you who have seen Claude in his travels may be well aware of his touring motor home van. You might have even checked out his Youtube videos of him converting the van. For the last couple of years the van has been a  source of great love, where he can chill before shows, party on afterwards complete with bar and neon-lights. But it is also a great source of anguish, breaking down at the most inopportune moments, such as at the snow with no mobile reception. The engine has been rebuilt twice, as with the gear box and and every other part replaced at least once. So what a great subject to write a song about!

Following on from this, the rest of the album are all about things Claude either loves or hates. But no song about pizza for this album. The revered pizza got it’s love and attention on the last album

Album release date is set for September 21 with national tour starting Sept 28 at Perth’s Velvet Lounge being the first show. The tour promises to cover all major states and regional town centres and is shaping up to be 25 dates in the making. Be sure to stay in touch to see where and when he’ll be coming to you.

Claude is extremely excited to have been invited to Poland’s Satyrblues Festival on September 15 along with a couple of other shows on the side in the region. Claude is the main international act of the festival. With staying in 16th century castles and tours in a “communistic limo” to the Kings city, this is set to be one of the more exotic places Claude has ever visited and he is excited to wow Polish audiences with his special take on the Blues.

Before leaving the continent, Claude heads to the UK post Olympic fever. Invited over by UK’s Home Grown Music Collective, the tour is set to dazzle their audiences and venues with his home made Cigar Box Guitar fondly known as Stella. The HGMC are the organizers for the annual Cigar Box Festival – of which next year Claude will be returning to the UK for. In the meantime UK peeps can check Claude out at the venues listed below  with a couple more dates to be announced.

With all the OS excitement, we can’t forget the few shows left in Australia. There’s a shared night with Melbourne’s reggae outfit Project Puzzles  at Baha Tacos in Rye VIC, the good ole Blues Train in Queenscliff and a quick flight up to far north QLD in Airlie Beach’s Whitsunday Reef Festival. Finally, returning to the capital after a hiatus at the faithful Old Canberra Inn on the last Sunday of August.  Claude will be teasing audiences at all these shows  with a couple of newbies from the forthcoming album, including the new single “I Love Hate You”.
